Amber Coleman, DNAP is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from Pittsburgh, PA and now resides in Virginia with her loving husband and precious kids. Amber is a graduate of Hampton University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing while minoring in Biology. After four years of working in the Intensive Care Unit, Amber obtained a degree in Nurse Anesthesia from Virginia CommonWealth University, an institution ranked #1 in the country for this particular program.

 Amber's love for the practice of medicine is immense, as she is extremely passionate about helping others no matter the capacity. Drawing from her own life experiences and recognizing the underrepresentation of diversity within the anesthesia profession, she felt compelled to write her first children’s book, “Amber Dreams of Anesthesia”.  When Amber isn’t doing the work she so enjoys, she can usually be found reveling in the loving company of her family and friends!
